Meet the Lightning’s farm system the Syracuse Crunch

After a great debut by Alex Barre-Bouliet in the 4-2 win over Carolina on Monday. And how Alexander Volkov has been playing not great but he can be great. They mentioned the Crunch a couple of times, let’s go through the prospects in the system and the prospects made by Syracuse.

Starting off with Aleksi Heponiemi our leading scorer with 4 points all being assists, but there is true potential there. There are a couple other guys Gabriel Fortier, Ross Colton, Taylor Raddysh, and Brady Katchouk. Even though the Crunch are having a rough start at 1-3-1 at the bottom of the entire AHL. We lost a lot of pieces in the bubble (Alexander Volkov) or in the beginning of the year (Alex Barre-Bouliet). Looking at last years roster we had Cal Foote and Mathieu Joseph on that roster, and had Carter Verhagae on the team the year before.

So our coaching staff can work with them to make underperformers or ship offs or newly drafted guys and make them good to go to be on the lightning it isn’t a Kucherov or Point but the potential and pieces are there we just have to put it together. I like Alex Barre-Bouliet and I have hope for Jack Finley, Ross Colton and Taylor Raddish. Let’s see if they can continue the greatness the organization has had with Stamkos, Hedman, Vasilevskiy, Kucherov, Johnson, Palat, and Point.

They won’t have the same connection like cooper had with his group that these new guys have had. But Cooper is the best coach in the league they have a similar system to the Coach of the Crunch (Benoit Groulx) so it’s easier to flow. But we have to wait for this to process and hope it will work out in the end. But my question is can this new young fresh group of guys lead Tampa to a Stanley Cup? #GoBolts.
