Rays Division Crown on Hold

2010. It’s been 10 very long years for the Tampa Bay Rays while they’ve made the playoffs several times within those 10 years they’ve been the wildcard team, going back to 2010 the last time the Rays won the AL East crown & this will be placed on hold for another night.

With the loss & the Yankees’ win over the Blue Jays, the Rays’ lead in the AL East is 3 1/2 games. The White Sox lost to the Indians, which helped the Rays maintain a 1 1/2-game lead for the No. 1 seed in the AL with four games left.

Blake Snell was on the mound for the last time in the regular season, and the lefty had a rough out in his final go before the postseason. Snell threw a season-high 108 pitches, allowing three runs and striking out nine over 5 2/3 innings.

Rays will try again on Wednesday Night to clinch the Division Title again with a win over the Mets with Tyler Glasnow on the mound.
