Bucs Place Howard on IR

Tampa Bay Buccaneers have put tight end O.J. Howard on injured reserve with a ruptured Achilles tendon that will end his season, as the team announced Tuesday Morning.

Howard’s injury happened in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win over the Chargers. He caught three passes for 50 yards, snagging a 28-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter to pull the Bucs within three points after being down 17 in the second quarter.

The 19th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft, Howard’s rookie season ended prematurely with an ankle injury, as it did in 2018 with foot and ankle injuries, makes you wonder if we will ever see a full healthy season from Howard.
