After falling behind 10-0 early, the Bucs exploded, dominating both offensively and defensively on the way to a 38-10 win as the defense comes up big with two interceptions on Packers QB Aaron Rodgers on back to back series, CB Jamel Dean took his pick to the house and S Mike Edwards took his within the 5 yard line to set up the go ahead Touchdown to grab a 14-10 lead in the second quarter.
Tom Brady only threw for 166 yards, but he had two touchdowns, no interceptions and no sacks, and he got more comfortable than he’s looked in years playing with Rob Gronkowski, who led the Bucs with five catches for 78 yards. Eventually Brady took a seat and was replaced by Blaine Gabbert who finished out the last 4 minutes of the game as Brady, Evans, Gronk & Chris Godwin rested the remaining time out.
Ronald Jones had a big game running the ball for Tampa Bay, with 113 yards and two touchdowns. Bruce Arians likes a balanced offense, and he had one today which is what we’ve been waiting for the “Ronald Jones Show” to happen and did it ever today.
As most would predict that the Green Bay Packers would be outside of the New Orleans Saints a heavy Favorite in the NFC this season it looks like we will see Tampa Bay become the new favorite possibly after round two coming up with the New Orleans Saints as well have a chance to redeem for that week one loss in Louisana.
There was three teams you drew a circle around when the NFL released this 2020 schedule and said this is the games we need to see how Brady & company would fair to determine what we have, realistically and those games was New Orleans, Green Bay & Super Bowl LIV Champs Kansas City Chiefs. So far the Bucs are 1-1 and proved they can be on their way to the top.
