The Tampa Bay Rays are two wins away from the American League pennant. The Rays beat the Houston Astros in Game 2 of the ALCS on Monday afternoon 4-1 to take a 2-0 series lead. Game 3 is Tuesday night.
Two more wins and they’re on to the World Series. Historically, teams that take a 2-0 lead in a best-of-seven series have gone on to win the series 85 percent of the time. The ALCS is far from over but the Rays have put themselves in very good position. They’re expected to pair an opener with bulk reliever Ryan Yarbrough in Game 3 on Tuesday.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves but the Rays look to have a great chance to close out this ALCS and get a much needed postseason rest as the Atlanta Braves won game 1 of the NLCS, Should the Rays take care of their end they should hope the Braves take the Dodgers to seven games to get some needed rest for the World Series
